My father, Howard Hewett, enlisted into the US Army in 1941 and was discharged in 1944. I have been looking for a copy of his enlistment card and cannot find it. I'm sure that he enlisted close to his hometown of Akron Ohio. His birthdate was 05/12/1921 in Akron Ohio. My dad passed away in 1981 so I cannot ask him. Since his records were lost in the 1973 fire...if anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
