Re: Roster of 371st Infantry Regiment, WW1
In Response To: Re: Roster of 371st Infantry Regiment, WW1 ()
I believe that my grand-uncle, Macaroni "Mack" Baker, served in the 92nd Infantry. I have not been able to order his military file online yet because I am not related to him more directly. His adopted daughter reportedly has deteriorated mental capacity, and I do not know her son, just his name. ANYway...if you have any info to share on the African-American unit(s) "given" to the French in WWI, please do share. Uncle Bud, as we called him, only said once that he remembers looking down at the celebrants in the streets of Paris after the end of the war. He was a deeply religious man and didn't "hold with such goin's on", so he spent the majority of his "Paris time" in his hotel room. My personal email address is parkin24@afrigeneas.net. Thank you!
