From this database I ran across information on AA veterans interviewed for this project that served in WWII. Jonas Bender, a founder of AAGGMV is one of those interviews I located.

Jonas' interview was conducted in Yellow Springs, Ohio by Paul LaRue and his students from Washington HS in Washington C.H., Ohio. There are others who participated in the Yellow Springs interviews.. from Springfield, Ohio were Lymon Alexander & Robert Renshaw, other names escape me at this moment.

For anyone who has or knows of a WW II veteran it is IMPORTANT that you contact your local Veterans Affairs Office, usually a County office, to see about having that person interviewed for this project. OUR veteran's stories are too valuable NOT to be recorded.
