Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of Alexander H. Johnson, a drummer who served in Company C of the Fifty-fourth Massachusetts Infantry. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, he enlisted in the regiment at age sixteen. He survived the war and lived in Worcester until his death in 1930. Any and all help appreciated.
