Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of John Goosberry (also spelled Gooseberry), who served as a private in Company E of the Fifty-fourth Massachusetts Infantry. Born in New Orleans, he resided in Canada at the time of his enlistment in July 1863. He survived the war and died in Ohio in 1876. Any and all help appreciated.
