This is where my lack of knowledge about the Civil War is a problem for me. I did see the other Barhams in this Tennessee unit but I was unsure if this was the same person. The pension card clearly says USC HA (United States Colored Heavy Artillery). The other unit was a mounted unit and said nothing about be the USC. I'm thinking, probably the best course is to follow your advice to order manually and include the card image and let them figure it out. After, all I am mainly interested in the widow's application. I am not aware that Henry Barham ever made an invalid application.
