Let me give a "shout out" for a dear genealogy friend and an original Montfort Point Marine... Jonas Bender. Jonas served in the South Pacific on Einewetok.

Jonas has been very active in veterans affairs in the Miami Valley of Ohio in working with the senior high school research class of Paul LaRue in Washington C.H., OH.

With the help of Jonas and our esteemed Bennie McRae approximately 20 AA WW II veterans were interviewed for the Library of Congress WW II interview program.

Jonas is currently working with an organization in this area that is sponsoring "free" trips to the WW II War Memorial for WW II veterans.
