Mr. Bennie J. McRae never ceases to amaze me in his continous efforts to present the history of the African American experience, especailly the period surrounding the Civil War and the actions of the United States Colored Troops (USCT's).

It has been my pleasure to call Bennie "friend" for better than 15 years and like a fine wine he just gets better with time.

Bennie, congratulations and best wishes with this latest endeavor. And K.Wyer Lane thank you for informing the public of Bennie's past and present work.
