Topcatto asked: "How many do you want me to list?- " ============================================================ I checked the CWSS site and found your James Farley (Colored). He was 1 of 2,225 recorded as being with the 25th Tenn Cav. There was also John Cumins and a John Cummings perhaps the same person listed as a waiter. If he too was "colored" that would make 2 out of 2,225. I viewed all 2,225 from Aarons, Robert to Young, Martin. How many did I miss? Also vewed the 29th Tenn to which Alexander chance was listed. He along with a Canon were listed as colored pvt's. There were about 7 others (colored)listed as Laborers or Cooks. This was from a total of roster of 1,923 viewed. Were there more with this unit? Let's see that is approximately 10 of 4,148 for those 2 Confederate units, with 3 listed as privates. I'm sure there were many, many more who were "impressed" into duty for these units, but only these few made the "official" roster. What's up with that? Art Thomas
