I am not up on this subject, but it did come from the movie. I did research on my relative, Calvin Clark Davis, he entered the service in May of 1941, became a Radio Bomber, prior to the hoop la of the Tuskegee Airman. Calvin Clark Davis died on his second tour of duty in Europe during the bombing of Merseburg oil fields. Benjamin Davis Jr is believed to be a relative, as the research continues.
