In celebration of Black History month, the members of the Commission on African American History of the City of Wilmington invites the community to join them on the Battleship North Carolina on Saturday, February 18, 2006, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. to honor African Americans that served as mess attendants and stewards during WWII.
Retired Captain Henry Nixon, Jr., Chaplain Corps of the United States Navy will be the speaker.
