Hello All,
After viewing some photographs of draftees and enlistees leaving for military service from my area in Ohio I noticed the AA's were always pictured together, no whites.
As I understand it, each County had/has a local Draft Board where all eligibles are to be registered. Form that "pool" they were selected for the Draft. Because the Military was segragated during WW I & WW II was there "de facto" segregation by these Draft boards?
I have other questions concerning the Draft procedures, but will hold off for now
