I was searching through the War Registration Records at Ancestry.

I was thrilled to find my grandfather...

Edgar T. Manns age 21
1805 Mount Street
Birthdate April 18 , 1897 etc.
Names my grandmother
eyes grey - really they were blue but could be grey
signature - right

Then I find ....
Edgar Thomas Manns
Different Address
Birthdate April 18 (same) but 1896 ( WRONG!)
Employment, listed as a waiter -- could have been
No name given for wife
color of eyes- Blue
Signature -looks almost the same

Question:

Could it be that my grandfather registered twice?

There is no other Edgar T. Manns, or anything close to that name in the census.

My grandfather never served in the Army, I know that for sure.
