Hello. I'm the daughter of an 87-year old ww2 veteran who commanded all black batallions in Bristol, England during ww2... the soliders transported bombs by truck to the Air Force sqads all over the UK. This experience-- a white commanding officer and all black troops--was a profound one for my father and among other things, led to his fighting for civil rights in the 1950s and 60s. I am curious about the status of this museum project AND I'm also curious to know about anyone who's currently doing research on the relationships between whites and blacks in ww2 and looking for original source material or people to interview. Many thanks.
