Michel Turpeau, B.S. '47, prominent Cincinati attorney, has been appointed as an administrative consultant to the Board of Veterans Appeals. The appointment was released from the Washington Office of Senator John W. Bricker. According to Mr. Bricker's office, Turpeau is the first Negro to receive one of the $7,570 annual salaried appointments.
Turpeau is the son of the late Rev. David D. Turpeau, former pastor of Calvary Methodist Church and Ohio State Legislator, and is a veteran of both World War II and the Korean war. He has served as an associate law professor at Texas Southern University but resigned teaching to resume his law practice in Cincinnati where he is a senior partner in the law firm of Turpeau, Bunyan and Houston.
