Genealogy means to me:

1. Knowing who my Ancestors are and how they lived.

2. Understanding that I come from Free persons of Color and Slaves.

3. A way to learn history and how it affected my family.

There are many other reasons including 'It's fun to dig up old records and stuff!'

...And it's an honor for me, and others here, to make the cyber-aquaintance of yourself and the members of your club!
