Re: Seaberry Family
In Response To: Re: Seaberry Family (William Carson)
The records seem a bit off. I think these types of errors were common in census reports of OUR ancestors during those days. The mother and father is correct and some of the children are also, but some important errors. According to my mother, it should be as follows: father: Robert Seaberry
Children (oldest to youngest):
My hope is to be able to trace back past my grandfather and grandmother, to get possible information on their sisters and brothers and mothers and fathers, etc.... I also want to learn more about my mother's sisters' families, their whereabouts and contact information so that I may contact them and put together a family tree My thin knowledge of them goes like this: From MS Clara: moved to New Orleans, married, had several children, two that I definitely know of (Ike Williams and Esther Williams Stewart, both of whom are now deceased and who left behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren). Clara passed away sometime in the early '70s Alice: to Detroit,MI married, had 3 children (nicknamed "Sista," "Junebug," and "Lil Robert" don't know all of their real names), Lil Robert passed as a young child, but the others left behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alice passed sometime in the late '70s to early '80s Rosa: to Hammond, LA, married, had 6 children (twins Caroline (Warner) and Catherine, Michael, Robert, Clara, and "Sonny Boy")...grandchildren and great-grandchildren....all still among the living with the exception of Sonny Boy....children relocated to other parts of LA and TX. Rosa passed in the '60s Minnie: to New Orleans, married, had one child (James Johnson (now deceased)), then relocated to Hammond, LA to live with sister Mamie after Minnie got sick. Died in Hammond in early '90s while living with sister, buried in New Orleans, LA Mamie: to Hammond, never married, had 3 children (Daniel Jackson, Janet Seaberry (Robeye) and Brenda Seaberry (Miller)), and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren...all still among the living. Mamie died in 2001 and is buried in Hammond, LA.
