ETGS sponsors 'Junior Genealogy' class
ETGS sponsors 'Junior Genealogy' class East Texas Genealogical Society will sponsor "Junior Genealogy Class" starting on Saturday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. at the Tyler Public Library in the Taylor Auditorium featuring Frances Grochowski. She will present a program called "Who Are Grandma and Grandpa?" The class will meet on the second Saturday each month for five months. It will introduce the participants to the basics in genealogy research including preparing family trees and charts, research in libraries, and on the internet. The class is open to children ages from 9 to 13. Boy and Girl Scouts are encouraged to attend because this program will fulfill the requirements of several badges. ETGS meetings are free and open to the public. The class will be limited to first 15 registered, however.
