Delaware State University

I am a Political Science major at Delaware State University. Since my freshman year I have been intrigued about the history of my university. I know that my school is prominent site in Delaware of the Underground Railroad and was also the Loockerman Plantation. What I always felt as intriguing was that our entire campus is connected underground (but only through the original buildings of the campus). TOday a few of my friends and I went to find some stuff out. We found all of the doors that are now locked that created this underground passage. We also found rooms and fixtures of what was formerly university buildings, that have just been built over. We looked into the locked basement window of one of the buildings and saw the words "To the utmost Jesus saves and can heal you," they were placed sloppily about 7 feet from the ground. We have no idea what this means or if it means anything at all, but the basements have been closed off for far too long. We want to know the dark history that is present on our campus.

If anyone has any insight or knowledge or some wisdom on the subject, please let me know as soon as possible.
