Michelle Alexander
About the Program
A former law clerk for Justice Harry Blackmun argues that the U.S. Justice system operates as a social and racial control mechanism by targeting undereducated black men for incarceration. The means of targeting includes the war on drugs and various forms of collateral damage, like disenfranchisement. Michelle Alexander appears here on Washington Journal.
