Estate of Lemelle To Wesley Singleton
Know all men by these presents that, whereas on the twenty first day of November in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty five at the Sale of the Estate of the late Marie Jeanne Lemelle deceased Wesley Singleton of the State of Louisiana and Parish of St. Landry became the purchaser of a negro man named Jean Pierre aged ab[ou]t. forty years for the price and sum of one thousand & forty dollars payable one third in al the month of April 1835 one third in all the month of April 1836, and the remaining third in all the month
