I have Fountain Lyles on my tree as well. In your records do you list that Fountain had a brother named James Lyles (born abt 1814 NC)? I ask because James Lyles married a Brazilla Belton in Rockingham County,NC 1-11-1841. A William Banks was the bondsman for this marriage. The Lyles family may provide me with an important link to my Banks family that I am researching. James Lyles and Brazilla had two children named Elizabeth(b.1842 NC) and John (b.1844 NC). James died in Dearborn county, IN in 1850. Brazilla remarried a Berry Banks in 1852, Laporte county,IN. I have not been able to trace the children of James & Brazilla. Brazilla had a sister named Elizabeth Belton who married in 1844 at Rockingham County (Wentworth) NC to William Frank Banks (b.9-26-1823 Rockingham County, NC) This is the same William that was bondsmen for her sister Brazilla's marriage to James Lyles. Im currently at a brick wall with the Banks Family prior to their arrival into Indiana. NC (Rockingham county) & Virginia pre 1840 and discoering their various ties to the Lyles, Rickmans and Gowens (pre migration out of VA/NC) may lead me to additional information. Again- thanks for the valuable information your provided. SRB
