So John Evans is in the same geographic area as Dennis over a five year period, between 1815 and 1820, but they were not necessarily in the same household. I still cannot place Dennis in a family household during or before this time, however geographic location is very important so I cannot yet rule out that Dennis is related to John or Charles Evans. Also, Dennis may have been born before 1790. According to the Free Negro lists he may have been born as early as 1786.

I will take all of the information you have given me and look at the court case and any other information I can get my hands on to try and figure out who Dennises parents and siblings were.
