Paul,

I am honored to correspond with you. I think the work you have done on free African Americans is wonderful.

I have not stumbled upon a Charles in my family tree yet but the one you listed in Prince Edward county may be a relation. I will study Charles and John Evans to see if they may have fathered Dennis Sr. My Evans family may have migrated from another part of Virginia which would definitely complicate my research. Either way I will keep searching.
