With the research I've been doing, a lot of the family names begin to seem like old friends. You see a lot of the same families in several different census records and watch them have children over the same period.

Unfortunately, it gets harder and harder to make sure you're looking at the same/right family. There are several Troy families, both in Virginia and Ohio who have children with the same names. If my tracking is correct, the Theodore Troy you commented on is a younger brother of my ancestor, William Troy, and his descendents are living in Hawaii!! So, it can really be a small world.
