Re: Samuel BUNCH
In Response To: Re: Samuel BUNCH ()

Mark,

Thank you for the information about Paul Bunch. There is a connection to his son John in Chowan County and my family. Edward (Ned) Bunch, and Andrew and siblings l have their parents listed as John and Eliza Bunch, except Andrew who is listed as "White" with Eliza in his house in 1910 and 1920. Andrew is also the informant on Edward (Ned's) Bunch's death certificate.

I have not been able to find Mack's death certificate, but other siblings state John and Eliza as their parents. There is one exception though. Ned's death certificate shows Elisha as his father. I found a document on Ancestry.com that shows a Paul Bunch (B: 1840) in an Eliza Bunch's house as a free mulatto born in Charleston, S.C.

All of this information is bringing me closer to where I need to be. I had never thought of looking for this set of Ancestors in Chowan, Bertie County, NC.
