If you visit the Historical Mus. in Savanah G.A. You will be able to see and read the document.

I took a copy there myself. The Court House in Milliville G.A. burned. That is where it was filed.

I asked the Clerk, to read the Slave
Document, to clarify whether or not Fanny was a Negro, and asked the question when did "White men, married people of Color."

His reply was a quick 'Never'. He then stated, 'Not of African Descent'. The Document would have called her a Mulatto.

He statement was, if you were not English, Irish, or German, in the 1600 -- 1800's. You were considered Colored.

Since Fanny, according to the Slave document did marry Paschal, her family (Must) have been indentured Slaves. She must have been Jewish, French, Italian or Native American.

I understand her last name was Poles.
