I just googled quadroon and octaroon and griffe, and found some pictures supposedly of two quadroons and a griffe, and other pictures..One quadroon looks like a totally white person, the other looks mixed with white, the griffe looks at least half Black..
These are modern pictures, and I don't know who labeled them as quadroons and griffe..
It really is ridiculous, though, isn't it?
