From my own research too.Ihaven't seen the word mulatto used to mean the offspring of one white parent and one native american parent. However some historians have mentioned that a mulatto could mean the offspring of one white parent and one black parent. I guess it all depends on where one live.
In Louisiana I also noticed the word Griffe was used in certain documents to mean the offspring of a black parent and a native american parent.
