Thanks to AfriGeneas I have found two of the 3 African Americans I have been searching for in the 1830 and 1840 Census. Rodger was 72 years of age in the 1830 Census and Molly would have been 77 in the 1840 Census. I do not see either after that time period.

I know I would never have found Roger and Molly if not for the members of AfriGeneas.

I have FPOC ancestors recorded in the 1830 & 1840 Census that did not make it to the 1850 Census where an actual number is given for an individual's age.

From what I have seen for 1830 & 1840 is an age "range" for people in the household of the person listed as head of household, not an actual age number.

How were you able to determine Rodger as being 72 y/o in 1830 & Molly being 77 y/o in 1840? I would love to determine the ages of my FPOC ancestors in 1830 & 1840.
