This is a wonderful database of abstracted court records for Fredericksburg in Spotsylvania county. I got lucky and found the emancipation certificate and order for a free negro named Lucy Brooke who I was trying to determine if she was the same as a relative of mine by the exact same name in Culpeper and Rappahannock counties. Still not sure if she is one and same, but I am ordering the entire record.
