Re: Meuillon
In Response To: Re: Meuillon ()
Well sorry if someone is offending you. This is the reason for this site , to help eachother . Not to ridicule others, I believe that we are all researchers on here and no one has time to just make up names and "make assumptions". There had to be more than one John Chevis, just as there is today in 2009. Let's c I live in St.Landry Parish and know my husband and I Chevis cousins.... Theres is John Chevis , the bus driver, John Chavis, the bum, John Chevis , the defensive coordinator @ LSU, and there probably are more. John, Joseph, Peter, and Thomas are the historically popular Chevis first names. My John Chevis as I said and it has been confirmed that the info is indeed correct!! Leontine Chevis b. 1887 daughter of (married to James "Jimmy" Taylor , parentage unkn) John (also called Tom) W. Chevis b. 1842 (free)
John "Tom" W. Chevis b. 1842 is son of William Chevis and Silevie(Celesie) Malveaux (daughter of Laurent Malveaux & Constance Chretien , Laurent is son of Frenchman Jean Baptiste and Catherine Malveaux.) William Chevis is the son of David Cheves and Elisabeth Perlee of North Carolina David Cheves is the son of Peter and Christina Cheves of Pennsylvania. I followed the census, marriage records, and my faithful blue books. I only had one mistake and that was that John W. "tom " Chevis was the same John Chevis that was the son of John Cheves and Marie Kiesey. But Mr. Rodney Sam's post helped me to look into that error and correct it. There is more than one John Chevis . Instead of acting hostile Mr. Latour we need to link the two John's and see how they are related. Because I know that they are probably related. Thank You
