Re: Meuillon / Cheval?

Hi Bridgette !!! Yes, it is most likely they were brothers. I will keep searching also, I will also drop by the courthouse after class tomorrow. I do not have any pics , but if you have some can u please share . My husband did not grow up in this area and he knew nothing about his relatives until we got together. My husband's grandfather's mother died Clara Taylor daughter of Leontine Chevis and James Taylor when he was a young boy. He lived in Grand Coteau until her death. His father and his family took the boys and gave the girls to the Chevis to raise. So he ended up moving to the Plaquemine Point area (which is near Mallet) and his dad never let them know his mother's family or their sister either. He just really started to have a relationship with his younger sisters at age 78. But anyway, when I visit Larose, he is always waiting for me to bring him so new info . He recalls some names and pics , if they are not too old he may know some of the people. By the way, I will keep in touch and I look forward to be able to meet you next time you are in the area. I hope my husband is home too , b/c I have been keeping him informed about my research on our families. He works 60 days and sometimes more on a tugboat that moves oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico and sometimes the Caribbean. Messages In This Thread
