I find these folks in the 1900 and 1910 census in Anderson County, TX and possibly Robert with a previous spouse to Nora in the 1880 census in Burleson County, TX. Have you found these folks as free people prior to 1870 census? If not you may want to post over at the SURNAME Forum until you get more information on them.
