What is disappointing about it all is that Paul has amassed a considerable amount of data, but few of those who plaigarize that information, move beyond it to blend it with additional solid research. In other words, they don't move the lineage forward or backward in time. They just make claims and use his documentation to support whatever they want. What can one do about it?
Your words above ring so true as this wave of popularity with Genealogy and the Internet take hold. It would be nice if some of these "researchers" would take the time to learn a little of genealoigical etiquette, but these folks are takers and not givers such as Paul and many others. IMHO, I see these types of actions as a character flaw that has crept into the presentation of genealogy & family history. How to combat it? ... I don't really know except to expose the "thieves" whenever, however and as frequently as is possible. Art Thomas
