Mr. Bullock,
I realize you wrote this years ago, but I did want to write to you and ask if you found any more info about your Bullock heritage. I am very intrigued by your post. I am also a Bullock. My father knows very little about his family history. His father was from Robeson county NC. I have always been told my heritage was American Indian and white. However, I (and others) have always noted several features in my dad and siblings that would be considered "African characteristics". Including, but not limited to broad nose, high forehead, full lips, etc. our skin is olive, but we get extremely dark in the sun.
Have you heard much of this "Turkish Indian" theory? Interestingly, my father had been told by a family member once that the Bullocks were traced back to Turkey. Not sure of validity of that, but interesting non the less.
Thanks for any info or thoughts you may have.
