There is a William Sampson in the 1850 Lorain County, OH Census; the 1860 Cuyahoga County, OH Census; and the 1870 Cuyahoga County, OH Census (incorrectly indexed as "Gilliam").

I am researching SAMPSON, WILLIAMS, CHESNUTT.

My 17 January 2007 post to this forum mentions a William Sampson and this might be the same as your Rev. William W. Sampson. Did not know that he had gone to Florida.

Would be interested in exchanging info.
