Jacob Proctor was my 5th great grandfather.He was appointed to command Whiskey Rebellion by George Washington in 1794 This is mentioned in a book titled Hisory of Western Reserve page 301. He was married in 1799 to Amanda Barnett,daughter of Chef Barnett,full blooded Wyendot. My parents found the county in which he died and was able to obtain copies of papers which included a list of his purchases for the last year of his life from the general store, plus who owed money to and who owed him money.I come down from Elisha Proctor on my grandmothers side and from Jacob Jr on my grandfathers side.

My family came from Penn. and moved to Ravenna Ohio. Jonathan, my Great Great grandfather was the one who came to Ravenna in 1879 or 1880. Which child of Jacob are you descended from?
