Re: Nancy Bass (1823-1882) in Indiana

Thanks for returning
My message.Nancy and
Elizabeth Bass had to
be sisters.Sion Bass
Was the only older Bass family in Gibson
Co,with several daughter under 16.This
is the 1840 Census.
Issac Jr and his twin
brother John Gothard
was not Gothard.Issac
Sr was a Englishman
Who rasied the twins.
There Father was a Mulatto ,which thanks
to DNA is tied to our
Casey or Russell Family. Go to Issac Sr
Gothard in Posey,Ind in Googles,They have
a nice Story on how the twins were born.
Issac Jr was killed in
the Civil War.I Trace
Issac Jr youngest son
Robert Gothard living
in Cook Co,I'll in 1920 or 1930 with 10 Children. They Still should be in Cook Co.
Go to the 1810 Census
Kanawha Co. There is
a Willis Casey Free Person of Color with
8 in the family.This
is my connection.also
go to 1850 Census Mason Co,There is a
Sinclair Casey Family.
I match with this Casey DNA also. I have
had contact with them.
Sinclair was born in
1799 in Kanawha Co,Va.
Judy your Casey family
Could have come from
Isles of Wright Co.Va
James Casey had 5 free
People of Color 1810.. He moved to the Ind and ILL area.
Judy do you have any male Family members that can take a family
Tree DNA test? I know
there will be a match
With our Casey Family.
We also have match with a Carr,Russell,
Harmon,Family.
My Family migration
went from Va,Tn,Ky to
MI.
Hope to here from you
Soon.
James
