In the book FREE NEGRO HEADS OF FAMILIES IN THE UNITED STATES IN 1830 I found a SALLY CLARKE from Henrico County Virginia, that headed a family houshold of 4.( ages 36- 55 )
In the 1820 census in Virginia a SALLY CLARKE that headed a family of 2, which I believe is a free person of color. In the 1820 census I could could not read the top part of that census. Is there way to get a copy of that census form.
My gggrandfather Anthony Clark was from Virginia and his mother name was Sally Clark who was also from Virginia. She was listed with Anthony Clark in the 1840,1860 & 1870 census in Ohio.
How can I verify this, can anyone help.
