Thanks. Wow! I am continually surprised by how much folks around here know. I thought for sure this was some sort of mis-spelling. Still, I find almost nothing on the Chavidas spelling but I do get a some hits on Chavida spelling. I was thinking as I reading this, I was thinking "Maybe there is something to these Portuguese claims ?" that some of the free people made claims about.
