Also, what Indian uprising prompted her to head south, finally to end up in the Catawba homelands? The Indian history could help provide some of your answers. I've found that when researching east coast native people, that anthropological and archaeological studies can often provide information about the history and settlement of tribes that you might not find elsewhere.
