I stumbled across this 2001 post 8 years later and am hoping some of the REVELS researchers still track this thread. Some of the email addresses are stale so this is my way of trying to contact the interested parties. The post mentions that you are a REVELS descendent and are part of a REVELS research group. I am researching a dead end in my tree which is described below:

+Joseph Revels m: January 01, 1855 in Logan Co., OH
....................... 4 Gurtrude Revels b: 1861

....................... 4 William A. Revels b: 1870
....................... 4 Nellie Revels b: 1874 in Seneca Co., OH

You mentioned that your REVELS migrated to parts of NC, OH, MI. My DAY ancestors hail from Southampton Co., VA which borders Northampton Co. NC. They also migrated to Logan and Seneca Counties in OH. I am wondering if you or others have a Joseph REVELS born between 1831 and 1821 in any of your records? I am assuming Jospeh's birth date range from the birth date of his wife Mary Ann Day and a potential 10 year age difference. Looking forward to hearing from you.
