Well I did not know about that..I though in 1870 everyone was on the regular census!!
In the past few days, I have found who I believe are white ancestors or ancestral relatives of mine with Free Colored people in the house..but this one census has blocked from view any slaves or Free Colored that may be there..
I know the names would not be there, but in this instance, at least the gender and ages of slaves and Free Colored *per household* are marked..That is, the heading page shows that there is a category for marking gender and age of slave and Free colored at each dwelling enumerated..No one's name but head of house is listed..
But the columns for slaves and Free colored are covered over..
