I was going over some notes that I took in 2003 at the Westmoreland County Courthouse in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and I noted in the death register that Gilbert Simpson, a black male, 84, the son of James & Jennie Simpson of Fayette County died February 15, 1899 in North Belle Vernon and is buried in Mt. Vernon Cemetery there. This appears to be the same Gilbert Simpson you are talking about in your previous message.
