Tyson Family, 1850 Beaufort Co. NC
I literally stumbled upon the TYSON family, with head of household, Hosa Tyson in 1850 Beaufort Co NC-South Creek Twp. The transcription is written as LYNN. However, in the original document, it appears to be clearly TYSON, especially noted by the second Tyson family in the next household, William Tyson. It's transcribed as Tyson. I hope someone will verify what I see. I'm not trying to prove a point;I've just been trying to locate my free Tyson family for years.
The Free Scott family from the early 1800's, Wake Co NC, migrated to Wayne and Orange Counties Indiana in the mid 1800's, many of whom left after 1850 for Essex and Kent Counties, Ontario Canada. The Tyson name was used prominently in the Scott family( as given and middle names) but I could not find the connection. Maybe now, a door will open. Does anyone have any leads or comments about these families? THANKS.
