Hi Art, Now you are in my neck of the woods. You might want to check out the genweb pages for this area as well as Google coal mining in these counties. There are some great old photos and maps of the various coal mining "patches" or villages online. Also, the VFW has some names of the veterans buried in some of the Fayette County cemeteries online too. The old newspapers are available at Ancestry.com. For Fayette County they would be the Morning Herald, Evening Standard for Uniontown which is the county seat of Fayette County. The Connellsville newpaper is also on there as well as some photos from some of the high school year books. Today the southern boundary line of Fayette and to its west, Green County is the Pennsylvania state line.
