data: 1.Mrs. Sinah B. Porter of Alexandria, VA executed a deed of manumission for her servant woman Sinah Hutchinson Montgomery and Sinah’s son Joseph Hutchinson, both slaves for life, Jan 2, 1837.
Submitted to the County Court of Alex.,VA on January 22 1853 by B.Hood, Mrs. Porter’s executor. Mrs. Porter died October 18, 1839 intestate. [Note: per Charlotte M. Jamieson: Catherine Porter married Robert Jamieson ]2.“Mr. Lemuel Chadwell is authorized to dispose of my man Frank to any person who may be disposed to purchase, and his bill of sale shall be binding on me and my agent, given under my hand and seal this 22 March, 1825.” Witnessed by Walter Clifton.”Sold to Robert Jamieson – Andrew Jamieson's Notation: “old Uncle Frank Washington”. Bought from Withen Waller or Walter of Stafford County, Va.-sold to Robert Jamieson – transacted 24 Mar 1825.3.McGuire, Trustee -- To Jamieson, Bill of Sale for Negro Slave Edmond (sic)/ "I, James McGuire, Trustee of Henry Nicholson deceased, … sell Edmund (sic) …sold to Andrew Jamieson. As highest bidder at public auction.- November 29, 1821".4.“Bill of Sale – Kitty” (Note dated April 20, 1897” called “Mammy Kitty” by Andrew Jamieson.)Sold in Wash. D.C. to Robert Jamieson, 23 November 1827 by Turbutt Bettow of Tallahassee, Florida territory,at 32 years of age as slave for life.5.Bill of Sale Simon Turley – Alex, Va – Nov 24th 1817 - Sold by George H. Terrett of Fairfax Co. Va, sold to Andrew Jamieson of Alexandria & D.C. as slave for life [Notation by Andrew Jamieson (1897?) “Uncle Simon died in 1861”.]
