The obituary of Campbell Maxwell lists his daughter Minnie's husband as Oliver Clemens. Oliver, born ca.1883 was a mystery to me until I finally learned how to use wildcards!

To make the story short, he was evidently the son of Elijah P. (b.ca1855) and Adeline Clemens. The 1910 census lists Elijah as a physician in Dayton. According to the 1880 census, Elijah was a teacher in Longtown and the census taker. He and Adeline also had a son named Tharwell A. b1877. A cousin, Katie R. Clemens lived with them. The family lived next to Rev. Charles W. and Elizabeth Clemens and the 1860 census shows Elijah as part of their household in Longtown. I assume that Elijah was their son.

I have not found any children in the household of Oliver and Minnie Clemens.
