Hiram Simpson

Marlene and others,
Does anyone have info on a Hiram Simpson? It could also be Hiram W. Simpson.
He would have been born 1812-1816. He died between 1880 and 1898.
My mom always said his family was Scotch/Irish and they migrated from Scotland/Ireland to either New York, or York, PA. Then, I believe they settled in Fayette County.
